Polarization of Titanium Anode Baskets ⇦ huh?

How do the titanium anode baskets in SnPb plating solution become polarized or passivated? Is it possible to happen? If it, how it affects the plating process?

The baskets become passive or polarized by virtue of being anodic and building an anodic film. They are always passive in normal operation. If they weren't they would be dissolving into the solution.
