Post-Treatment after Plating

Hi,

I've heard of some kind of silicon oxide which can be applied after plating, just like lacquer. I heard it on the 'Finishing Technology Hotline BBS' Is there anyone who could tell me what it is?

Hi, Lawrence. This is probably referring to a coating that is applied after chromating on zinc and zinc alloy platings to improve salt spray resistance. Good luck.
