Copper Anodes Darken





 

Sir,

In my rochelle copper plating, copper anodes are covered with dark maroon (blackish) deposits. After completing process these deposits disappear and anodes leaves white colour. Please help me to tell about any deficiency in my solution.

Dear Ajay,

You have a Sodium Cyanide deficiency. Or too large a cathode area causing yr anodes to polarise when worked.
