Test method to guarantee two year life of TiN and gold on watches

I would like to know the testing procedure to give the guarantee of coating life for two years of decorative ion-plating (TiN+Au) on stainless steel-304/316 and brass straps, cases.

I don't think there is any way to do that, Kiran. You can put the same thickness of TiN and gold on two watch cases and if one of those two cases is shaped so that it has protuberances (like around the band) the finish will wear off those spots much quicker than it will wear off the other watch. I hope someone can enlighten me as well as you.
