Electroless nickel plating, effluent treatment

Dear Sirs,

I am a pos-graduation student at the federal University of Rio de Janeiro. At this moment I am running, as part of my thesis, some tests, in lab scale, with the electroless nickel plating. As the regulation of the university, I can not release any heavy metal bearing effluent to the environment without previously treated. I wonder if you could give any information on how to treat this particular effluent. I am very much looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Sincerely,

Luis Gonzaga Santos Sobral
