Surface finish measurement - spherical

I am looking for a good utility way of measuring surface finish on an 1/8" ball. Looking more towards a rougher surface than most ball bearings. Also a method to measure shape or out of round would be good too. Thanks

Hai,

Roughness can be measured on precision instruments like Talysurf Manufactured by Rank Taylor Hobson, UK or Surftest of Mitutoyo . Similarly, Roundness can be measured on precision instruments like Talyrond Manufactured by Rank Taylor Hobson , UK or Roundtest of Mitutoyo. Alternatively, to check Sphericity , Keep the ball on a Solid V Block, Keep the dial over the maximum point of the ball. Rotate it.The Total Indicated Reading will be Sphericity.
