Tip for speeding up copper oxidation

I am making candle holders for x-mas. I am using wooden bases and a copper end cap (plumbing supply) and I would like to know what hastens the oxidation of the copper. I like the aqua color of oxidation process. Are there any quick and easy ways to speed this process up? preferably household products. Thank you for your time and consideration of this question.
