-----Galvanizing plaster
I was wondering if anyone knows anything about galvanizing plaster. Is it possible?
Thanks,
Ted Lutz- Buffalo, NY
It is possible. However, you must seal it perfectly before any further treatment. Plaster is alkaline and will ruin an electrolytic bath if it starts dissolving in it. Sealing by immersing the part several times in urethane resin until the part is perfectly saturated and releases no bubbles seems to work just fine.

Sorry! Finishing.com is temporarily Read-Only.
Ted Mooney is retiring but I have several offers to take it over.
We're working hard to make sure we find it the best new home.
