Rust prevention over plated surface

Dear Sir,

We would like to know the possibilities of preventing corrosion over Hard chrome plated surface. Corrosion in terms of Rust due to continuous exposture to atmoshere. We need solution other than Duplex Plating + Hard chrome plating process which proves to be costlier. Any thin transparent protective coating can be sprayed?

Wax will help. Phosphatizing after chrome plating will help. A sprayed lacquer will help. But all of them will prove inferior and you already know how to really solve the problem.
