-----Aluminum Substrate Corrosion Problem
1998
We have a customer who has an aluminum substrate that is exposed to a 50% Trifloroacetel Acid and 50% methanol [affil link] Alcohol environment.
Anodizing was not a satisfactory finish for this environment. We would appreciate information for a finish that would be impervious to these chemicals.
The parts would be exposed to a splashing effect rather than an immersion effect.
Thanks for your help

Two part polyesters work well for most acid environments. There are very probably a few powder coat formulations that would work well also.

Ted Mooney is retiring but I have several offers to take it over.
We're working hard to make sure we find it the best new home.
