Copper plating solutions


I am looking for a copper plating solution which does not contain cyanide but will plate 'AROUND CORNERS' I assume this will be an electro plating solution but any electro less system would be suitable if it can produce a thick layer of copper on cast iron or aluminum. Also, recommendations for a suitable pre cleaning process would be appreciated. Has anyone any experience with ultrasonic aids in the electroplating process.

Copper pyrophosphate solutions, available from EPI (Electrochemical Products Inc.) [a supporting advertiser] and others, are probably the most promising approach as far as electrolytic solutions are concerned. Ultrasonics can be good aids to cleaning and rinsing, and in some limited cases they can increase plating speed. But from the few details you've given us so far, it's probably unlikely that they will help with your plating situation.
