How to clean silver

Q. I wanna know how to clean my silver necklace.

Zena Goshu
- Rockville, Maryland
2001

A. Boil hot water, Then put your necklace in a glass jar and pour in the water and put on lid. Shake the jar and let it set for 5 minutes, then take necklace out keeping the water in and scrub with tooth brush with toothpaste and baking soda [on eBay or Amazon] on it for 5 mins. Then put back in jar without washing it off and shake and let it set for 15-25 minutes, then take soft cloth like a cloth you use to wash your glasses and then rub with that for 5 minutes.
