Want Video about anodizing and gold plating

I am completely new to the metal finishing line and would like a comprehensive guide to the following processes: anodizing and gold-plating on steel tubes. I would appreciate an instructional video or text guide on how to accomplish these processes.

I am also willing to pay any reasonable price for the instructions. Thank you.

Javed Usmani

Hi, Javed.

For anodizing, there is an excellent book by Robert Probert called "Aluminum How-To". For gold plating there is a book by Reid &Goldie of the title "Gold Plating Technology". Additional books are listed on our "must-have" booklist.

I'm not aware of any instructional videos for industrial electroplating, but there are a series of videos for hobby-level plating by Randall Nyborg =>
I have not viewed them, and can't really say whether they would be useful to you. Good luck.

I am looking for information about computer models used for metal finishing processes. I am also looking for an expert in that area to help me with a related project?

Are there any public domain based metal finishing processes models?

Hi, Michael. I am not aware of any non-trivial public domain metal finishing process models, nor even a complete commercial process model. There are pieces, however, such as Plato's Process Planner [Integrated Technologies, Cheshire, VT], and my own Perfect Rinsing, and there are several vendors of "electrochemical modeling" software including Elsyca and Faraday Technology. For an expert, please see our directory of metal finishing Consultants. Good luck.
