Tearing of Aluminum Extrusions During Buffing Operation

We are having a problem in our finishing Dept. of our Aluminum extrusions tearing open during our buffing operation. We have had problems with die pick up as well as die tear up but have gotten a handle on these problems. We feel that material is being tore open during our buffing operation. We have made some progress by correcting some minor problems, and reduced the tearing of our extrusions. I have contacted our suppliers but have had no success in solving our problems. If you could identify or direct me to a source, it would be much appreciated. Thank You.

get as much grease on it before buffing then use a bias buff with a color compound; work it, but not to hard . I run into a lot of crazy stuff. there is a way to fix your trouble . hard to say on here.

Give a dip in nitric acid after anodizing i.e., after sealing and then grease it well before buffing
