Powder Coating 2006 v. Sur/Fin 2006:

Who's Minding the Store?

I don't know if it was a mistake, stubbornness, or an effort by one side to weaken the other. But in these trying times for metal finishers, to schedule Powder Coating 2006 and Sur/Fin 2006 for the same time sounds pretty dumb.

Let's think positive and hope that, with the shows only 275 miles apart, maybe visitors can be drawn from afar to squeeze in some time at each with a single trip.

But look at it this way, EVERYBODY will be at one show or the other that week -- and you should be too! Learn something, feel connected, see what's happening, support American manufacturing in these tough times.

I won't be at Powder Coating because I have official duties at Sur/Fin, but I will be thinking kindly of my friends there and wishing great success to both -- Ted Mooney, finishing.com
