Didn't your mother teach you
manners?
Peter Van de Luecht

I've noticed on a lot of trouble-solving websites, not just this
one...
People will often write in for help demanding/begging for a answer
to THEIR problem off total strangers. Strangely enough many strangers
will indeed help them despite their poor communication skills. The
bit that really bugs me is when a whole bunch of people chip in and
offer a variety of advice and there is absolutely no follow up from
the person that originally asked the question!
It doesn't take much to say "thanks, that really helped joe,
cheers for the advice! " or even a "thanks anyway but I'm still up to
my neck!"
It would also be great to help people new to finishing to learn
which of the suggestions were followed and the success or failure of
these.
I guess some people think their time is more important than the
guy next door, even if he's trying to help
Sigh,
Peter
