58540. Need 1 inch round aluminum tube bent and anodized
May 15, 2012RFQ. Hello, I need 1 inch in diameter round aluminum tube 6 to 8 feet long, first bent into a 130 degrees arc then anodized black. I'm in New York, I will use it to shoot a film, I'm looking for someone to make it for me locally preferably. My budget is limited so please quote low. It doesn't have to be exactly 1 inch in diameter, I have my other hardware to attach to it fairly flexible, as far as length the closer to 8 feet the better, but it will work even a little under 6 feet as well.
In addition it can be made of two pieces half the total length then put together using a connector (simply 5 - 8 inch long piece of slightly larger in diameter tube going outside of the main tubes).

Need someone who can plate Electroless Nickel On Bimetallic Cu-Aluminum PartApril 12, 2012RFQ: I have a precision machined 6061 aluminum chassis, about 2" x 4" x .25", that has a .36" diameter C110 copper plug pressed into it. I need this part plated in its entirety with 100-200 µin electroless nickel and 30-50 µ in electrolytic gold. I assume this is somewhat problematic because the part is bi-metallic. Can you plate this part? I could use electrolytic nickel instead of the electroless nickel if necessary. A copper layer under the nickel would be OK as well. While still a niche industry, demand for vinyl records continues to increase substantially. February 23, 2012RFQ: My master bath has all matching fixtures, 2 sinks a roman tub and a roman shower. All the fixtures can be seen. The one sink faucet is tarnishing where the water comes out. I contacted Moen and the part is no longer available. Can this piece be refinished? If so any recommendations on who might do this type work. I know the varnish finish is peeling. If I remove the varnish will I also remove the antique finish? I look forward to your reply.

I have been looking into plating 3 rings (engagement and wedding rings) with Iridium 0.5 Micron thick. Is this recommended? It looks like an exotic metal that will provide superior protection against scratching.
If it is recommended, what would the price range be for all three to be plated? How often would the rings need to be replated (assuming the 0.5 Micron thick plating)?
