Chemist

Southwest United Industries, Inc., a leader in aerospace plating and anodizing, is searching for a Chemist. The Chemist will be responsible for sampling, analysis, control and maintenance of all processing and process related chemical solutions before, during and after production use, as required to comply with company, customer and government requirements, guidelines and regulation.

Other duties include:

• Maintain proper and up-to-date daily records of all activities to comply with company, customer and government guidelines and regulations. This includes records of receipt, analysis, usage, modification, maintenance, testing and disposal as appropriate.
• Establish and maintain effective procedures to ensure all equipment used to test or control processing solutions are always operating at an efficiency level that will not allow risk of process failure to occur. This includes, but is not limited to, all laboratory equipment and all shop pumps, filters, temperature controllers, feeders.
• Perform process control tests, assist in investigation of process failures and provide objective analysis.

Successful candidate must have 3 years experience in metal finishing and Bachelor of Science in Chemistry or related field. We offer group health, life, dental and matching 401k. FAA Drug and Alcohol testing required. Salary commensurate with experience and education.
