Health concerns of anodized cookware

+

We have 15 year old anodized aluminum pots and pans. I've noticed 2 peculiar things recently:

1) the black coating (the anodized effect I believe) has come off on the inside of the pots, leaving a whiter metal exposed (aluminum I guess). I assume we either scrubbed off or ate the anodized coating and I am wondering about the health effects or concerns of this;

2) after washing the pots, there will be whitish spots along the bottoms. What could be causing this? Our water, or something else related to the loss of anodized coating?

Thank you,

Hi:

I have noticed the same thing with my anodized aluminum cookware. Specifically, that the lack coating is gone from the inside of the cookware. (My cookware is about 12 years old). Does this mean that the aluminum can now leach out of the cookware?
