Improving pollutiom system in plating

I work in a plated plastic factory, in pollution area and I want to know if somebody's used only sodium metabisulfite for treatment of chrome hexavalent. The result of the analysis is 0.6 ppm to 1.2 ppm at pH of 2.2-2.5. Does anyone know how to low this readings ?
