Iridite Testing

What type of chemical can be used to check an aluminum surface for clear Iridite coating. (I believe it was a chemical that would turn blue when applied).

Please see post #8243. In that post I gave the chemical makeup and simplified procedure of how I test for a clear Alodine coating. Although Iridite is different, as the test is essentially for Cr+6 it should work for you as well.
