Gluing to a Chromated Surface?

Is it possible to have a bond (glue) over a chromated surface. That is we have steel parts, zinc coated then covered with yellow chromate layer. Now we need to glue a plastic part to the surface using a PU glue. Is it possible? If not what surface preparation is needed to accomplish that?
