-----Discoloring of Plated Gold Surface
2001
I have been in PCB(PWB) industry. Our products are used for semiconductor packaging. Our electroplated gold surface has discoloring problem. We have confirmed it is partially caused from contact by fingers at inspection process, even when we use gloves. I guessed insufficient cleaning of plating solution is another cause of this problem.
Is there any glove that does not cause this problem, or any method preventing this problem?

A clean white cotton glove strikes me as more inclined to rub something off of a surface than to rub something on. How thick did you say that gold was again? :-)
