-----Anodising Aluminum
I am a undergraduate chemistry student at De Montfort University, Leicester, U.K. As my final year project I am looking at methods for altering the anodised finishes of aluminum films. Can anyone help me? I am especially looking at ways of increasing pore sizes in the anodised film.

The oxide structure is dependent on which type of anodizing you are performing. Chromic Acid Anodizing typically has a smoother structure than Phosphoric which has a greater degree of micro-roughness. Chromic Acid Anodizing oxides have been altered by varying temperature and by using post anodize phosphoric acid etch amongst others.
