Use of anodising baskets.

2001

I am trying to find a more efficient way of anodizing a large quantity of small aluminium inserts. approx. 0.3" diameter by 1" length (batches of 50 to 200). Our current racking system is very laborious. I have seen anodising baskets and they look right but have never used one.

Are these suitable for this purpose?

Are there any pitfalls I should be aware of?

Is shadowing from the sides of the tank a problem?

Sir,

We have done barrel or bulk anodizing here for over 40 years. We also teach others how to do it.

For a part to be a candidate for bulk anodizing it must: 1- Have no flat surfaces 2- Be small 3- Be high volume 4- Have no blind holes.

Sorry! Finishing.com is temporarily Read-Only.
Ted Mooney is retiring but I have several offers to take it over.
We're working hard to make sure we find it the best new home.
