-----Choosing an aluminum alloy for our engineering student project
I'm an engineering student and our project we chose was to make a hang glider. the metal that was recommended to us was to use Aluminum alloy 6061. I was wondering what dimensions and lengths does this material come in, and the cost. we have a budget of 250 dollars. Also if you have any recommendations of other metals that would work and are cheaper, we would greatly appreciate it. that you for you time

Try calling a metal supplier they can tell you. With a budget of $250 though you might want to try using bamboo. I know it sounds crazy but they have been built before. Bamboo is strong light and possibly inexpensive.
