-----Request for information about anodization.
Dear,
I am a project fellow undergoing research in the field of nanocrystalline materials. In my process of growing nanoporous alumina film, I am facing certain difficulties. Please let me know what will be the cathode in the process of anodization? How long should I carry on the anodization to get a film that will stick on to the surface of aluminium film?
Thanking you,

Lead or aluminum will work as the cathode. But, as for your wanting "to get a film that will stick on to the surface", you may be missing an important point about anodizing. It is YOUR aluminum that gets converted to aluminum oxide. So you must decide how thick an anodized layer you want, and deposit enough aluminum to form that layer.
