Hi Ali,
There are many suppliers who can build galvanizing and plating
lines. I have two points for your consideration.
Galvanizing is usually used for corrosion protection of carbon
steels. I do not think ABS needs to be galvanized for the purpose of
corrosion protection. According to the company you are working with,
I guess you are actually looking for decorative plating lines.
Plating on plastic components
requires many additional steps other than conventional plating
processes. As a large quantity of concentrated chromic acid solution
is involved in plastic plating, you need considerable water supply,
even if ABS is a very common plastic material for plating. Of course,
using closed-loop water circulation system can substantially reduce
water consumption, but it increases capital investment considerably.
If you do not have high volume of components to process, I would like
to suggest you sending the ABS components out for finishing service.
You may easily find a number of plastic platers who can meet your
requirements.
Good luck

Hi,
We are so close and yet so far away. We can offer you all you need
to plate ABS. If you think that there is a possibility for us to do
business together, me from Israel and you from South Arabia, I am
sure that Ted will contribute his share to this peaceful offer.

Ed. note: Peace before profit. Yes we will
sacrifice our advertising revenue as our share, Sara, putting you
together with the potential customer even though your company is
unwilling to share a small prorated portion of the costs of our
efforts by advertising here. I guess we'll wait and see if your boss
gives the chemicals or technology away as 'his share' :-)
