HE Relief Testing for Zinc Plating

I would like to perform a hydrogen embrittlement relief test on parts coated with zinc plating (ASTM B633, Type II, SC3...0.0005 - 0.0008-inch thick). According to ASTM F519, testing should be conducted at sustained load (75% UTS) for 200 hours. Would this be adequate for zinc plating, since this spec. seems to be written around cadmium plating? Thanks in advance.

The resulting embrittlement of the steel will be the same whether the hydrogen is from Cd or Zn. Therefore, the same sustained load test would be a reasonable evaluation for either plating type.

Ted Mooney is retiring but I have several offers to take it over.
We're working hard to make sure we find it the best new home.
