-----Nickel over iron/steel
We are very interested in sharing information about the recommended working process to plate different kind of metals. Please advise if you can suggest us a working process to plate iron and steel pieces directly with nickel. We know that the nickel solution will suffer a lot with the iron contamination, but after reading some books it seems that working with different.

In the meanwhile, nickel plating on iron and steel is one of the most basic and common types of electroplating. If the book you read didn't help get started, perhaps you need to lay hands on a couple of the "must have" plating books before you are going to be able to get anywhere. Good luck.
