I am looking for a non-MILITARY chemical conversion coating that is equivalent to MIL-C 5541, Class 3?

I'm not quite clear on your question, Ms. Hayes. Are you looking for a specification you can quote that is a non-MIL spec for chromate conversion coating of aluminum, or are you looking for a chromate conversion coating that is not on the MIL qualified products list (presumably because it would be less expensive)?
