-----Tarnished brass lamps, need help!
I found what I think are two beautiful bedroom lamps. they are part brass. They have been stored away in a storage bend and are quite tarnished. We tried Brasso ⇦ on eBay or Amazon [affil link] and other products to no avail. We have started using a buffer to get the tarnish off and to bring some form of shine back. I'm concern because of the marks we are leaving with the buffer. Is there a good cleaning product that you can recommend to me.

I'm commenting from pretty far away from the problem, but it sounds like you need more practice in buffing. I don't think the buffing should be leaving marks if it is done with a soft enough buff and the right wet buffing compounds. Search for "buff" at www.finishing.com/chemicals/ and ask the vendors to recommend the best wheels and compounds.
