-----Suggested material for Nitric/HF heaters
Could any one help me in suggesting the material of construction for heating a solution of Nitric/Hf acid to about 125*c

Hi Arun,
Try FISCHER of Germany ... I believe that they made or got made some PVDF cooling/heating coils.
Certainly their U.S. affiliate could supply these. Then, of course, there are teflon type heat exchangers, too.
PVDF is supposed to go to 140 °C ... and, next to the more expensive true fluorocarbons, is highly resistant to all acids ... weakness? Probably with alkalines.
Cheers
