-----Rust Resistant High Temperature Paint
I need an air dry rust resistant paint which will be applied to 3% silicon steel. The upper service temperature will be 150C while the average temp. will be around 90C. A 2 part is OK. The paint is applied indoors. Little or no volatile solvents a plus. MAK is OK. No xylene, toluene. Stay away from silicone due to cost. Like 2 part epoxies, need 30 minute pot life.

Scott,
Have you thought about Polyurethane? Not the 'weak' stuff you get in the stores, ostensibly PU but only l2% or so but the McCoy.
Try Monsanto. They came out with a 2 component PU back in the late 60's. Superlative glossy finish. Hard as Hell. Slippery too, when wet! Very difficult to remove once painted on. Doors will warp if painted only on one side as, with all thermosets, it shrinks during curing.
I don't know about its max. temp. range. You'd have to inquire about that but it might be OK @ l50 C.
Food fer thought, eh?
Cheers !
