-----Plating Nd-Fe-B permanent magnet material
2000
I am an engineer working for a major magnet user.
We need a supplier to Ni(undercoat)/Cr(topcoat) Nd-Fe-B permanent magnet rings. The magnets are uncharged. I have read articles on the subject written by people in Hong Kong, so I know it can be done. We are looking for a domestic plater.

Nd-Fe-B neodynium-iron-boron magnets can be plated provided the casting is high quality. In addition, the preplate cycle must be optimized as parts cannot be stripped. If both conditions are met, parts can be plated in any electrolytic plating solution. I have plated these in nickel.

Sorry! Finishing.com is temporarily Read-Only.
Ted Mooney is retiring but I have several offers to take it over.
We're working hard to make sure we find it the best new home.
