-----Anodized 6061-T6 galvanic differential
What effect will applying a hardcoat anodized finish as per MIL-A-8625 / MIL-PRF-8625 [⇦ this spec on DLA], type III, class 2 have on the galvanic differential of 6061-T6 Aluminium?
Nicol McNeill- Glasgow, Scotland

Hello, Nicol. Anodizing converts aluminum to non-conductive aluminum oxide and aluminum hydroxide. So the coating itself is an insulator which will not corrode; and the aluminum underneath it is protected from galvanic corrosion as long as the coating is not penetrated.
