Hours of salt spray for electrogalvanized auto body




Dear sir/madam

At the moment I am trying to find out what is the recommended hours for salt spray test for auto body zinc coated (electrogalvanized) panel sheet to SAE and ASTM standard. Thank you for answering.

Specific pass/fail requirements for corrosion are nearly always specified by OEM specifications and not by SAE or ASTM specs. You will have better luck looking for a specific automotive company's spec for auto bodies. Corrosion specifications differ from one component to another, which is why there is usually not a generic spec.
