Mumetal Laminated Cores for Audio Transformers

I need information on Mumetal to build audio transformers for low level signal and high fidelity.

* Where could I buy Mumetal?

* Where could I get technical information for design?

THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION

Mu-Metal is available from Vacuumschmelze (VAC Germany) who even make complete mu-metal transformer kits. Another source might be Allied Metals, or you might try amorphous metals instead (much better than) Mu-metal! But anyway, don't underestimate the price, it's not cheap!

Good luck!

Another source where you can buy mumetal cores is Mecagis, a French company that manufactures cores in China and France. They also produce nanocrystalline cores which are more efficient than mumetal. Indeed, these cores are also more expensive but it depends for which applications you are looking for.

My company supplies mumetal; we are also the agents for Magnetec, a German supplier of mumetal cores and nanocrystalline cores.

We, Meist Co., Ltd, are manufacturing Mumetal laminations for the transformers.
We are Located in Korea, and export our Mumetal laminations to the world wide countries.
