How to Make Nickel Plated Copper Heatsinks Shiny?

Hi, I am currently plating copper pieces for a customer. The pieces come buffed by the customer. However I find after electroless nickel plating that it is very dull compared to electroplated steel. Is there anyway I can make the copper pieces shinier? Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Hi, Kris. Copper is not catalytic to electroless nickel, so you must be jump starting the process somehow. How are you doing it because I suspect that may be where the problem lies.
