Pretreatment for powder coating on aluminium castings

What is the correct pre-treatment process for PDC aluminium casting powder coating?
Is it Choromatising or phosphating ?
Pl. help me

Hi, C. Phosphatizing solutions properly adjusted for "mixed metal" can be satisfactory, but chromate conversion coating is the best of the "old" technologies. With the world unhappy about shipping parts with hexavalent chromate on them, though, you might consider the new proprietary technologies.
