Aging the brass at the bank

My name is Raymond I am the service manager for a janitorial company in Zanesville Ohio. One of our clients is a major bank. One aspect of our duties is to polish the brass in the bank. Keep in mind the majority of the inside of this bank is brass. The man I answer to is director of over 100 facilities, his name is Butch. His first job with the bank, polishing brass. He takes an extreme interest in this area. To the point, the window frames are made of brass and are two stories high, multible windows. I tell all of my employees DON'T TOUCH THE WINDOWS!
Wouldn't you know it, the bloomin idiot did four of the windows he could reach. Needless to say Butch calls me to his office. After hearing the story of how he got his start and a history lesson on brass. He says "I want the windows back the way they were." REALLY! How do you age brass? How can I get the shine off the windows and blend it to look old. Can anybody help save my brass.

Raymond, the frames are likely bronze, not brass, though very similar in treatment. Our company makes a patina repair kit to help with this problem. We have restored and treated many such frames to their original color and we can help you too. Please check out our Copper Patina Repair kit. Treatment of copper similar to bronze you will be doing. Results are quick and easy. Happy Holidays to all.
