Pitting on Copper Plated Lamp

April 22, 2009

My name is Tom and we recently purchased a believed to be solid copper lamp from Ebay. When the lamp arrived there were noticeable pits on the lamp and while trying to clean discovered the lamp is plated. Can we, and if we can, how do we replate the pits without redoing the entire lamp?

Sorry, Tom, that's not going to be practical at all. The lamp needs to be buffed and polished, and the pits filled, and then replated.
