Homeowner needs bronze finish on brass colored plastic trim in jacuzzi tub

I am updating my master bath with new bronze faucets etc. but the brass colored jet trim on my aquaglass tub has been discontinued so I cannot order white or bronze trim to replace the brass. I want to plate/paint the trim bronze to match tub faucet but have been told spray paint for metal/outdoors will not hold up in water. Need to find a way and place to plate the trim bronze (preferred) or white. Trim is plastic with brass finish.
