Sir:

New (uncontaminated) triple salt flux has a density as follows:

Baume'...Density g/L....Conc Kg/L....Conc Lb/US Gal
.10........1.0741.........0.151...........1.26.....
.15........1.1154.........0.247...........2.06.....
.20........1.1600.........0.365...........3.05.....

Triple salt consists of 54% ammonium chloride and 46% zinc chloride, thus having an ACN of 1.17 (ACN = ammonium chloride/zinc chloride).

New quadraflux has an ACN of 1.57 and has a baume' or density a bit lower than triple salt for a specific concentration.
