Antique horse and clock needs new bronze coating

April 21, 2009

I am Lynwood Rains, a homeowner and antique collector. I have located a bronze horse and clock that due to it's age and condition, it will not clean up and must have a new bronze coat to be presentable. I have attempted to clean this item many hours by hand using normal bronze cleaner to no avail. In fact, in some places the bronze is coming off or getting very very thin and appears white or silver. It is a beautiful piece with little value except the intrinsic value to me. Can you help with a location where this task might be done?
Thank you!
