Differences between a No. 3 and a No. 4 finish on Stainless Steel

We are aware that there differences in same finishes between stainless steel suppliers in the U.S. versus China. I would be interested in knowing what are the main appearance differences between No.3 and No. 4 finishes on stainless steel domestically and internationally.

The following link shows the differences between a No. 3 and No. 4 finish. Truth is most metal centers will stock a No.3/No.4 finish so they can sell it as either or.
Architectural finish usually requires No. 4, whereas No. 3 is mostly for kitchen sinks and the likes....more industrial like finish.
