Filling in the blanks with super abrasives

Is it possible to adjust the amount of stone (add more) to a surface when electroplating Diamond or CBN? Does Faraday's law prohibit this from happening?

Hi, Rick. Faraday's Law really has nothing to do with how much of the composite you can occlude when electroplating. The basic limitation from what I read on Surface Technology's website is that if you have too much composite and not enough metal "glue", the particles pull out too easily.

Too much is a possibility, but it is rare. Not enough is far more common. The part wears off the metal, frequently nickel, and then rides on the face of the diamond or other hard particle. So, you need enough, but after a certain point it is counter productive.
