-----Is galvanized steel used for automobile bodies?
I would like to know if galvanised steel is used for auto bodies, or is it generally CRCA steel which is suitably treated.

Hi, Brijesh. Yes galvanized steel is used on the lower body areas and fenders. I don't know if it is used on hood, trunk lid and roof though. To improve the paintability, the process is actually galvanneal, which means galvanizing followed by an annealing process which I believe diffuses some of the iron to the surface.
