Reflector Direct Vaccum Metalizing

Dear sir,
What is the advantages of Direct Vaccum metalizing . In this process is it possible to directly can apply Aluminium in Reflector with Protective Top coat ( Reflector Plastic material is mPPE ( Modified PolyPhenylene Ether) .
What are Reflector special engineering test ,have any std specification .Pls anybody can share the details .
