How to prep and paint brass letters

September 8, 2008

I am the Entrance Chair to our community and am interested in changing the letters from brass to black. From what I am told they are brass and some of the letters are tarnished and worn. I would like to make them a satin finish black and need all the help on how to do it or where to maybe send them.
Any help is appreciated and very needed.

Hi, Lynn. While you could find a metal finishing shop that specializes in this sort of thing, I think you might find that a local trophy shop is positioned to do this brass blackening expeditiously for you.
